Refund Policy

When you can get your money back, how much, and how to ask. Published as its own page rather than buried in terms.

Template — needs legal review. This document is a well-structured starting point written for an Indian education business, not legal advice. Have a qualified professional review and adapt it before launch, then remove this notice.

The principle

We would rather refund someone than keep money from a person the program is not serving. A student who feels trapped in the wrong course is worse for us than a refund, because they will not finish and they will not recommend us.

This policy is published as its own page, in plain language, because a refund policy you have to hunt for is a warning sign.

Cooling-off period

If you withdraw within fourteen days of your cohort's first live session, you receive a full refund. No deductions, and no administrative fee.

No justification is required. Send one email and we process it.

After the cooling-off period

Beyond fourteen days, refunds are considered case by case. We look at how much of the program has been delivered and the circumstances behind the request.

  • Medical, family or employment circumstances that make continuing impossible: we will usually offer a deferral to a later cohort at no cost, or a partial refund if a deferral does not help.
  • The program is not what was described: tell us specifically how, and if we agree we refund in full. This has happened, and we would rather it be corrected than defended.
  • You have changed your mind but the program has been delivered as promised: we generally cannot refund, but a deferral or a transfer to a different program may be possible.

Deferrals

Every student may defer once to the next cohort at no cost, for any reason. Life happens, and we would rather you finish a cohort late than finish one badly.

Additional deferrals are possible but may carry an administrative fee to cover the reserved place.

If we cancel

If we cancel a cohort or fail to deliver a program as described, you receive a full refund, or a transfer to the next cohort — your choice, not ours.

Instalment plans

If you are paying in instalments and withdraw, refunds apply to amounts already paid under the terms above, and remaining instalments are cancelled. We do not pursue outstanding instalments for a program you have withdrawn from within the cooling-off period.

Exclusions

Refunds are not available where enrolment is terminated for a serious breach of the acceptable use terms — specifically, using what you learn against systems you are not authorised to test.

How to request a refund

Email connectbluelayersacademy@gmail.com with "refund request" in the subject line, your name and your cohort. You do not need to explain yourself during the cooling-off period.

We acknowledge within two working days and process approved refunds within ten working days to the original payment method.
